NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ:NVDA), one of the most renowned and trusted chipmakers is getting into a collaboration with one of the leading automotive suppliers, Bosch in a developmental move that will see them take advantage of the technological advancements to come up with self-driven cars. Both parties will have particular roles to play and the success of the new project is a joint vision and dream that is expected to materialize.
Volkmar Denner, who happens to be the current CEO for Bosch on Wednesday made a statement revealing the new collaboration with Santa Clara chip provider. At the moment, a lot of the chipmakers are making wild rushes towards the development of the self-driven systems which according to inside sources will bear artificial intelligence .The current market is characterized more by science fiction in opposition to reality.
Of course a lot of analysts have come to the forefront all with different opinions. However, a large percentage of them are of the opinion that Nvidia seems the single-most front runner in the still-nascent market.
Artificial intelligence and a number of breakthroughs in deep learning are looked upon by the various companies as the major building blocks that will facilitate the success of the development of the self-driven cars.
Jen-Hsun Huang, who is Nvidia’s CEO and founder made a statement on Wednesday. He said that the company’s DRIVE PX AI car computer will go a long way towards helping Bosch make automotive-grade systems for the manufacture of large scale autonomous cars. He added to say that the joint collaboration was a sure way to achieve the dream of bringing about a better future, characterized with high end and safer autonomous cars.
In the joint move, Nvidia will be entrusted with the provision of computing hardware and software. On the other hand, Bosch will do much towards the development of vehicle sensors. The Bosch AI car computer system will utilize Nvidia’s Drive PX 2 chip technology in important ways to see to it that the vehicles are able to sense their environment .They will also be able to predict the behavior of the rest of the objects in their surroundings.
