Institutional Investors Buy More Shares Of Oracle Corporation (NYSE:ORCL)

Girard Securities Inc has bought more shares of Oracle Corporation (NYSE:ORCL) in the fourth quarter and thereby raised its stake in the enterprise software giant by 2.6%. Initially, the company possessed slightly over 6,000 shares and the new purchase increases the tally by 165 shares. The value of Girard Securities now rises to $247,000. This was according to a filing made with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

Joining Girard Securities in acquiring additional shares of Oracle includes First Quadrant L P CA which in the third quarter raised its stake in the enterprise software maker by 87.2% after the firm acquired additional shares totaling slightly over 400,000. First Quadrant L P CA’s total shareholding in Oracle now stands at 877,305 shares and the stake is now worth approximately $34.5 million. Another institutional investor who bought a significant stake is Wealth Enhancement Advisory Services which acquired extra Oracle stock worth approximately $2.5 million.

Wetherby Asset Management

Though on a smaller scale, Wetherby Asset Management raised its stake in Oracle in the fourth quarter by an extra 0.4% when it bought shares totaling 248. The worth of Wetherby Asset Management’s stock in Oracle now stands at approximately $2.6 million.

In the third quarter, Majedie Asset Management Ltd also raised its stake in Oracle by an extra 2.5%. The institutional investor now possesses a total of 159,946 shares in Oracle after it acquired an extra 3,859 shares. The value of Majedie Asset Management Ltd’s stake in Oracle is now approximately $6.3 million.

More large investors

Yet another institutional investor who increased a stake in Oracle is Roundview Capital LLC. In the fourth quarter, Roundview bought more Oracle shares thereby increasing its stake by 1.4%. Previously, the firm possessed 22,044 shares but the extra 300 Oracle shares it has added to its portfolio whose value previously stood at $0.85 million.

On Friday shares of Oracle Corporation fell by 0.67% to close the day at $44.65.
