According to recent news, Google, Inc. launched its new Glass App popularly known as Glass Tesla, which will enable its owners to control their high-technology car with the connected eye wear.
The developer and entrepreneur of this unofficial app, Glass Tesla, is SahasKatta. The app allows users to perform such tasks as locking and unlocking doors, turning the charge function on and off and opening and closing the sunroof. This app also allows users to locate their car, to remotely access the climate-control feature and to locate the nearest gas stations.
In addition to all these features, users can also realize whether the door of their car is locked or not and also check the charge level of the car. This app was launched on Monday but does not provide the feature of voice-activated commands. However, SahasKatta is planning to add this feature soon.
Mr.Katta said that the company does not offer easy access to voice commands but in the near future, it will allow developers to add their own voice commands, so that if one for example utters “Glass, open my trunk”, the trunk shall open.
The founder of the start-up Pepperdeck, SahasKatta, said that the reason for creating this app was that he wanted to prove the real-world application of such devices as the Google Glass.
He thinks that wearable computing is currently very far from reach. Therefore, he wanted to create something that could be easily used in the everyday lives of regular consumers.
